What is Law?

Law is a set of rules formed by communities of people to follow in an ordered manner. Rules of law help all individuals in a community to understand what is normal, and what is bad. Knowing the law can make citizens of the world to become good people.

Types of Laws

There are different types of law formed around the world. Some of the types of law are listed below:
Civil Law - the sets of rules which are created for citizens of countries are called Civil Laws.
Corporate Law - the sets of rules which are created for companies, employees and businesses are called Corporate Laws.
Country Law - the sets of rules which are created by the government of a country are called Country Laws.
State Law - the sets of rules which are created for individual states or divisions of a country are called State Laws.
International Law - the sets of rules which are created for all countries of the world are called International Laws.

Features of Laws

Systems of law have people to judge laws and oversee their regulation. Some of the features of law are listed below:
  • Laws keep things ordered, efficient, and easy-to-follow.
  • Laws are backed by police and security forces, and judged by courts and justice organizations.
  • Laws are sets of rules which are made to govern large groups of people easily, and effectively.

Benefits of Laws

Using laws can become very beneficial to everyone. Some of the benefits of law are included below:
  • Laws promote an ordered society around the world.
  • Laws provide employment to lawyers, advocates of law, and judges.
  • With laws, everyone becomes to know about uniform changes in the legal system.

Doubts of Laws

Sometimes, laws can become doubtful to follow. Some of the doubts of law are included below:
  • Laws could be violated by some perpetrators.
  • Sometimes, new areas of trade and commerce may have no laws written to govern ordered activity.
  • There are too many different types of laws for different types of actions that it is hard to keep track of.

Following Laws

People who follow the law are called law-abiders, while people who do not follow the law are called law-breakers. Laws can change the way people do actions in their everyday lives and can set the theme for an ordered environment in a geographic area.
